Employment History

Following the merger of Edwards Marshall and Nelson Wheeler Nexia on Monday 1 August 2011 Stephen became a Partner to Edwards Marshall. 

In 2006 he was made Audit and Assurance Partner at Nelson Wheeler Nexia after joining the firm in 1990. Having also worked for a year with Ernst and Young in its audit division.

In 2000 Stephen spent 3 months working for the Nexia office in New York auditing hedge funds.

Specialist Areas

Stephen has experience in Audit among a broad range of industries with diverse accounting and management systems and financial reporting requirements. 

These audits vary in size from government grant audits through to large private companies, public institutions and public offer superannuation funds. 

Stephen has also performed due diligence reviews for business acquisitions and internal audit reviews of business processes and has developed particular expertise in providing advice on risk evaluation and management for organisations that have restrictions on implementing full internal controls.
